Social Media Manager

About the role

Buffer Punk is seeking a full‑time Remote Social Media Manager based in Kigali City, Rwanda. You will shape and execute social media strategies for a variety of clients, driving brand awareness and engagement across key platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create, schedule and publish content on major social media channels.
• Manage daily community interactions, respond to comments and messages, monitor brand mentions and foster positive conversations.
• Develop and execute content strategies, optimise posts for reach and performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align social media activities with broader marketing goals.
• Track performance metrics, prepare reports, analyse results and recommend data‑driven improvements.

Required profile

• Strong social media marketing and SMO experience managing brand accounts.
• Excellent written communication with an audience‑appropriate tone.
• Experience in content strategy, calendar planning and platform‑specific best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in social media, digital marketing or community management.
• Strong organisational skills, reliable deadline management and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
