Senior Investment Officer (Kigali)

About the role

The Senior Investment Officer will ensure the effective delivery of Inkomoko’s investment activities in Rwanda. The role provides oversight to Investment Associates, conducts borrower due diligence, supports credit decisions, manages portfolio quality, strengthens client relationships, and guarantees the proper use of lending systems and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate Investment Associates, set work plans, monitor performance and hold regular check‑ins.
• Monitor key goals, develop practical strategies to meet targets within budget and policy frameworks.
• Collaborate with the Investment Manager and Head of Investment on staffing, budgeting and resource planning.
• Interpret and ensure compliance with donor requirements, internal policies, laws and regulations.
• Oversee credit analysis, portfolio management, client engagement and operational processes to align with Inkomoko’s Credit Policy and organizational standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in investment management, credit analysis and portfolio oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, internal policies and regulatory environments.
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning and stakeholder management skills.
