About the role
The Financial Reporting Associate is responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of internal and external financial reporting and compliance for One Acre Fund’s Rwanda program. The role includes delivering high‑quality financial closes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial planning and analysis to support senior leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Own and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Prepare and deliver financial reports with variance analysis in line with accounting standards.
- Coordinate with finance and business teams to maintain consistent financial data.
- Lead tax compliance, VAT, and statutory reporting across entities.
- Oversee intercompany invoicing and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Partner with accounting, legal, and external auditors to address audit findings and strengthen controls.
- Manage grant financial tracking and reporting, ensuring donor compliance and transparent funding flows.
- Provide regular financial updates and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes for assigned departments.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision‑making.
