Repayment Associate

About the role

The Repayment Associate ensures timely repayment of education financing under Chancen International’s Income Share Agreement (ISA) model. Working closely with graduates and their families, the associate monitors contributions, follows up on overdue payments, and supports borrowers throughout their repayment journey.

Key responsibilities

• Track daily ISA repayments and service fees, flagging overdue amounts and contacting graduates via phone, email, SMS or in‑person visits.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of graduates’ employment status, financial obligations and repayment schedules.
• Advise borrowers on repayment structures, ensuring a healthy Portfolio at Risk (PAR) rate.
• Build and sustain relationships with graduates, guardians and local community leaders to facilitate repayment and debt recovery.
• Participate in guardian meetings and financial‑literacy workshops.
• Maintain accurate databases of repayment activity and generate reports on default trends.

Required profile

• Experience in collections, repayment monitoring or similar financial‑service roles.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage accurate records.
• Comfort interacting with graduates, guardians and community stakeholders.
