Production Supervisor / Line Officer

About the role

HAARZOPF Ltd is a Rwandan manufacturer of hair products, about to start operations in Kigali with one factory that works with international companies and local partners. The Production Supervisor / Line Officer organizes the workers assigned to a production line, operates and maintains the equipment, and leads the line team so that daily, weekly and monthly production targets and quality standards are met. The post reports to the Production Subdivision Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise operations within the facility to achieve higher output
• Organize the production team, organize training and educational manuals, and assist in recruiting and onboarding new workers
• Manage supply and inventory of raw goods in the line
• Ensure compliance with safety and professional standards, and follow company policies and safety protocols
• Monitor and prioritize tasks, evaluate production stations, and inspect products for quality and size specifications
• Report defects, notify the subdivision manager of problems, and attend production meetings
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly reports and the daily attendance list

Required profile

• Secondary school diploma
• Intermediate English and Microsoft Office
• Relevant training and certification in industrial production, engineering or a related field
• Minimum experience required; 6 months of training in the HAARZOPF Academy is expected
• Able to stand for extended periods and work in a team

Required skills

• Knowledge of factory production line processes
• Organization, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
• Legible writing of reports, mainly using data management software
• Time and deadline management
