Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer is a key member of Alight’s operations team in Kigali, providing technical logistics support for program implementation in line with Alight’s regulations and SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage agency vehicle fleet, ensuring safety, documentation, scheduling, fuel tracking, maintenance and driver supervision.
• Oversee asset management, maintain the asset register, conduct physical counts and coordinate documentation with procurement and finance.
• Supervise warehouse operations, ensure timely delivery of supplies, maintain stock records and oversee receipt, inspection and reporting of goods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, operations or supply chain, preferably in a humanitarian or development INGO.
• Demonstrated ability to work with donors’ procurement policies and to supervise staff.

Required skills

• Logistics Information Management Systems (LIMS) proficiency
• Microsoft Office applications
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPP or CSCP (preferred)
