Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer

About the role

WUSC is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer to support the implementation of the five‑year Pathways to Scale project, which aims to grow women‑led enterprises in Ethiopia, Rwanda, Ghana and Nigeria. The role will be based in Kigali and will focus on tracking progress, measuring impact and fostering learning across the multi‑country initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Support the monitoring, evaluation and learning activities of the Pathways to Scale project across all implementing countries.
• Track implementation progress and measure the impact of business development services and access‑to‑finance interventions.
• Coordinate data collection, validation and reporting in line with donor requirements.
• Assist in developing learning strategies and documenting best practices for scaling women‑led enterprises.

Required profile

• Fluency in English; working knowledge of French, Kinyarwanda or Swahili is an advantage.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning within development projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with international partners and local enterprise support organisations.
