Material Handler

About the role

The Material Handler works as part of a team to coordinate material activities across various work areas. The role involves communicating handling issues and following daily direction from the department supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, label, and place materials and supplies in stock while recording their locations.
• Locate materials for production orders by pulling and verifying items.
• Maintain in‑process inventory at work centers, delivering and opening supplies as needed.
• Document material disposition, recording units delivered and their locations.
• Perform pre‑use inspections and maintain material‑handling equipment.
• Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Handle non‑conforming material processes, including device master records and hold tags.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (or comparable work experience).
• Less than one year of packing/shipping experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Forklift operator certification or ability to become certified.
