Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Manager will lead real‑time technical support and maintenance coordination for an airline’s fleet, ensuring aircraft airworthiness and minimal flight disruptions. Operating 24/7, the manager acts as the central hub for troubleshooting, AOG recovery, MEL management, and communication between Maintenance, Flight Operations, and Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement MCC operational strategies to improve on‑time performance and aircraft availability.
• Support digital transformation initiatives such as real‑time maintenance analytics and integration with OCC systems.
• Lead MCC planning for fleet expansion, new aircraft introductions, and standardisation of AOG, MEL and technical communications.
• Maintain 24/7 oversight of Maintenance Control and Defect Control, reviewing delays, AOGs, and repetitive defects.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions, including process changes.
• Coordinate AOG recovery, rapid return‑to‑service decisions, and liaison with Line Maintenance, Engineering and OEMs.
• Monitor predictive maintenance systems (e.g., AHM) and provide troubleshooting guidance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and company procedures to maintain airworthiness.
