Driver – Transport Agricultural Inputs (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a driver to transport agricultural and non‑agricultural inputs between its sites in Rwanda. The role includes maintaining the fleet, ensuring cargo safety, and providing operational insights for future electric truck use.

Key responsibilities

• Transport inputs between assigned OAF sites, loading and unloading with the warehouse team while verifying quantities and quality.
• Conduct weekly vehicle checks, perform minor repairs, submit maintenance requests, and avoid risky routes to keep the truck in good condition.
• Manage delivery documentation (Delivery Notes, Load Cards, TMS), obtain signatures, and promptly report accidents, charging issues, or route problems to the manager.

Required profile

• Valid Category C driver’s licence.
• Experience driving cargo trucks on dirt roads outside Kigali.
• Working knowledge of local roads, maps and GPS systems.
• Understanding of electric‑vehicle mechanics, battery range and charging.
• Sound knowledge of road‑safety regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication in Kinyarwanda.
• Punctual, reliable and customer‑service oriented.
