About the role
The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring a safe environment. This full‑time position requires vigilance, quick decision‑making, and a professional demeanor.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property and control access to rooms.
- Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire‑life safety systems.
- Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
- Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
- Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and handle emergencies.
- Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
- Support guests, including individuals with disabilities, and uphold company service standards.
Required profile
- Physical ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb unassisted.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow company policies and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and professional appearance.
- Willingness to obtain any required licensing or registration.
