Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring a safe environment. This full‑time position requires vigilance, quick decision‑making, and a professional demeanor.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control access to rooms.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire‑life safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and handle emergencies.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Support guests, including individuals with disabilities, and uphold company service standards.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow company policies and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to obtain any required licensing or registration.
