Full-time Lifeguard – Kigali

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Lifeguard to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests at our swimming facilities in Kigali. The role involves vigilant monitoring of swimmers, rapid response to emergencies, and maintaining a clean, welcoming pool environment.

Key responsibilities

• Observe swimmers and intervene using appropriate rescue techniques when assistance is needed.
• Monitor the pool area for hazardous conditions, unsafe activities, and guests in distress.
• Enforce facility rules and promote a safe, fun atmosphere.
• Provide first-aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Handle pool-deck duties such as folding and stacking towels, cleaning, mopping, and maintaining the pool area.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Welcome guests, ensure professional appearance, and assist individuals with disabilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to work full-time on site and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and heavier loads with assistance.

Required skills

• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Strong swimming and rescue techniques.
