Logistics Trainer (M/F)

About the role

Africa Global Logistics (AGL) is a multimodal logistics operator covering port, logistics, maritime and rail activities, now part of the MSC Group. Its Kigali Shared Service Center (KSSC), which includes ASCENS Kigali, supports the group's 250 subsidiaries with digital tools and services. As part of its expansion, KSSC is recruiting a Logistics Trainer to deliver professional training in logistics fields, ensure knowledge transfer and align training with operational standards. The position is full-time and permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions on air and sea freight forwarding, logistics software (TMS, internal tools) and customs fundamentals
• Adapt training materials to the local context and analyze training needs
• Train and coach other trainers using a train-the-trainer approach
• Report on training activities and outcomes
• Work with Academy Management on a communication plan to strengthen the Academy's visibility and reputation
• Represent the training organization with external public and private partners and ensure internal team communication
• Help develop and deploy new training programs

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations within freight forwarding, transport management, logistics or warehousing
• Experience in training or instructional delivery is an advantage
• Travel to different agency locations may be required

Required skills

• Knowledge of freight forwarding, Incoterms and AEO
• Proficiency in TMS and related logistics systems
• Solid understanding of customs fundamentals
• Experience in operational claims management and insurance
• Supply chain knowledge is a plus
• Professional English and French, basic project management knowledge
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
