Kinyarwanda Bilingual Expert (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a native or near‑native Kinyarwanda speaker to help shape the next generation of AI language models. Working remotely, you will provide linguistic insight that enables AI systems to understand and process Kinyarwanda accurately. No prior AI experience is required—your language expertise is the core asset.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to Kinyarwanda audio and video recordings and produce precise transcriptions with timestamps.
• Identify and document emotional tone, mood, and speaker intent to enrich training datasets.
• Analyze grammatical structures, sentence patterns, and syntax in both Kinyarwanda and English content.
• Explain cultural relevance and usage of idiomatic or nuanced expressions.
• Support translation validation, data labeling, and linguistic review tasks.
• Maintain high accuracy and professionalism across all deliverables.
• Commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week and meet project milestones on schedule.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in Kinyarwanda with strong English proficiency.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, attentive to linguistic detail.
• Experience in transcription, data annotation, or structured language work.
• Ability to capture tonal, grammatical, and contextual nuances.
• Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Reliable remote‑working setup with necessary tools and connectivity.
