HR Manager

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing real‑estate group operating across multiple industries in Rwanda, is looking for an experienced HR Manager to build and lead its Human Resources function from the ground up. This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and wants to shape people practices for a dynamic organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and people strategies aligned with business growth.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment and talent acquisition across several business units.
• Design structured onboarding, probation management, and performance appraisal systems.
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes, and workplace conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with Rwandan labour laws and HR best practices.
• Create compensation and benefits frameworks and support succession and workforce planning.
• Drive employee engagement, retention, and culture‑building initiatives.
• Produce HR reporting, dashboards, and people analytics.
• Coordinate learning and development programmes and develop organisational structures and job descriptions.
• Partner with senior leadership to build high‑performing teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
• 4–7 years of HR leadership experience in fast‑growing or mid‑size organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Rwandan labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Proven track record in recruitment, performance management, employee relations, organisational development and policy implementation.
• Experience supporting organisations through growth and transformation is highly desirable.
