Fab Academy Instructor (Full‑time)

About the role

FabLab Rwanda is seeking a full‑time Fab Academy Instructor to lead the Fab Academy program at its Node. The instructor will be on‑site, guiding students through the curriculum, monitoring progress, and ensuring a high‑quality learning experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver effective learning strategies aligned with the program schedule.
• Conduct, supervise, and support all students throughout the Fab Academy course.
• Provide necessary educational materials, tools, and resources.
• Apply innovative classroom techniques that engage students in challenging projects.
• Collaborate professionally with other instructors and support staff.
• Participate in program meetings and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Offer consultation and network with the broader Fab community to enrich the learning environment.
• Deliver constructive feedback to enhance student academic growth.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Certified Fab Academy graduate (mandatory).
• 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong CAD skills in both 2D and 3D.
• Extensive knowledge of electronics.
• Experience in programming and interfacing.
• Machine‑building and management capabilities.
• Proficiency with digital fabrication machines and rapid‑prototyping techniques.
• Commitment to excellence in course content and delivery.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to evolving industry needs.
