Engineering Manager – Aviation

About the role

The client, a leading airline, is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead all engineering functions, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across airframe, powerplant, cabin, IFE, reliability, and configuration management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering service strategies supporting airworthiness, digital transformation, cost optimisation and regulatory compliance.
• Manage Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and mandatory requirements, ensuring timely compliance and record updates.
• Oversee engineering development across airframe, systems, avionics, cabin, IFE, structures and powerplants.
• Maintain aircraft configuration control, engine trend analysis, oil consumption monitoring and OEM‑recommended actions.
• Lead reliability programme, stakeholder meetings and regulatory reporting, integrating outcomes into maintenance programme optimisation.
• Contribute to technical data management systems and MRO software platform integration.
• Support business transformation through process automation and improved data traceability.
• Coordinate with OEMs, service providers, regulatory authorities and internal departments.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing engineering functions in an aviation environment.
• Strong knowledge of airworthiness regulations, AD/SB compliance and configuration control.
• Experience leading reliability and maintenance programme initiatives.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
