Lead Operator – Manufacturing (GMP)

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Lead Operator to head a team of operators in our Kigali facility. You will ensure production runs smoothly, maintain GMP compliance, and uphold safety and quality standards while supporting the rollout of our modular mRNA manufacturing solution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, following SOPs and production schedules.
• Set up, operate, and clean equipment for intermediate and finished product batches.
• Accurately complete batch records, logs, and related documentation.
• Provide technical support and on‑the‑job training to operators.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and cGMP regulations.
• Participate in internal audits and assist with deviation investigations.
• Report on team performance and equipment status.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry or Pharmacy.
• At least 2 years of experience in a GMP‑regulated chemical or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong analytical and presentation abilities for qualitative and quantitative data.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
