Director, New Partnerships (EMEA)

About the role

MASS is looking for a full‑time Director of New Partnerships to lead growth across Europe, the Middle East and Africa from its Africa Studio in Kigali. Reporting to the Senior Director of New Partnerships, you will shape the strategic roadmap for emerging markets, conduct market intelligence and coach senior design leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the annual strategic sourcing plan for EMEA, aligning with the organization’s broader strategic plan.
• Conduct EMEA‑specific market research, monitor the competitive landscape and identify repositioning opportunities.
• Manage the EMEA pipeline in the CRM, providing analysis for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Identify and cultivate upstream partners before RFPs are issued, driving sole‑source award opportunities.
• Represent MASS at key EMEA events, maintain sub‑consultant and teaming partner records, and oversee procurement portal monitoring.
• Own interview story structures, pitch frameworks and qualification collateral for the Africa studio, coaching principals through rehearsals and debriefs.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree; additional studies in business, communications or international development are preferred.
• Deep knowledge of African markets and development ecosystems, with existing relationships in Nairobi or Addis Ababa.
• Experience in the AEC industry is a strong advantage; familiarity with Gulf philanthropic and development landscapes is a plus.
• Fluent in English; French or Arabic is a significant advantage.
• Willingness to relocate to Kigali and travel regionally as required.
