Communications Associate – NPSA 7

About the role

UN Women Rwanda is seeking a Communications Associate to support the formulation and implementation of communications activities that promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. The position reports to the Country Representative and works under the direct supervision of the National Programme Specialist.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing communication strategies aligned with UN Women’s mandate.
• Support the creation of communication materials, including briefs, reports, and digital content.
• Contribute to evidence‑based advocacy and visibility initiatives for gender equality commitments.
• Coordinate with UN system partners and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in communications, journalism, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in gender equality and development issues.
