Chief Finance Manager – Finance & Administration Lead

About the role

The Chief Finance Manager will lead the financial and administrative functions of WASAC Utility, ensuring accurate reporting, robust forecasting, and effective risk management. This senior position reports directly to the Managing Director and works closely with all WASAC Group entities to drive efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial statements, statutory reports, management accounts and ad‑hoc analyses for senior management and the Board.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, providing insights to support strategic decisions.
• Oversee treasury activities, including cash management, bank reconciliations, revenue collection and supplier payments.
• Ensure General Ledger accuracy, perform reconciliations and sign‑off on all accounts.
• Develop and enforce policies, procedures and internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
• Coordinate with auditors and respond to audit queries promptly.
• Manage administrative workflows, document flow and archiving across the utility.
• Collaborate with peer departments to secure accurate inputs and foster effective teamwork.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance roles within large organisations or utilities.
• Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgeting, forecasting and treasury functions.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on risk assessment and financial controls.
• Effective communication and leadership capabilities to coordinate cross‑functional teams.
