Chief Executive Officer – African Quality Assurance Centre

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the African Quality Assurance Centre Holding Company, which manages a network of laboratories and quality‑assurance facilities across Africa. The CEO drives growth, ensures compliance with international standards, and positions the company as a trusted partner in testing, inspection and certification services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the company’s vision, mission and long‑term strategy across the continent.
• Expand laboratory operations into new regions and sectors such as healthcare, food, environment and industrial testing.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, capital allocation and deliver sustainable revenue growth.
• Standardise processes, drive digital transformation (LIMS, automation, data‑integrity systems) and implement best practices in quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and international ISO/IEC standards, manage accreditation and audit remediation.
• Build relationships with governments, multinational corporations and local industries to grow market share.
• Invest in innovation, R&D and sustainability‑focused testing solutions.
• Lead and inspire a diverse workforce across multiple African countries and develop succession plans for subsidiary CEOs.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead large, multi‑country organisations.
• Experience in driving growth, compliance and innovation in the TIC sector.
• Strong financial acumen and governance expertise.
• Capability to represent the company at regional and international forums.
