About the role
The client is a fast‑growing freight forwarding and logistics provider operating across East Africa. They are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth in Rwanda. The role will be office‑based, reporting to senior commercial leadership, and will focus on building a pipeline of B2B opportunities, nurturing strategic accounts, and converting new business across freight, transport, customs and cross‑border services.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, prospect and convert new B2B logistics and transport opportunities in Rwanda.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key commercial accounts.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Achieve revenue targets and contribute to the company’s regional growth plan for 2026.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations and contract negotiations.
Required profile
- Proven hands‑on sales or business development experience within freight forwarding, logistics, transport, shipping, customs or international trade services.
- Demonstrated success in selling or commercially supporting logistics‑related solutions (e.g., air/sea freight, cross‑border trucking, customs clearance, warehousing).
- Strong understanding of East African logistics and cross‑border trade operations.
- Ability to work independently in an office environment five days a week.
