Branch Operation Officer

About the role

The Branch Operation Officer will support the Branch Business Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations, security, and financial integrity of the branch. The role involves supervising staff, managing assets, and maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all operational activities to maintain service standards for customers and members.
• Ensure security standards, including key and access code management and security audits.
• Document branch purchases, handle invoices, and manage inventory of passbooks, bank cards, cheque books, and PINs.
• Supervise outlet/sub‑branch operations and act as the primary contact for agents in the region.
• Maintain cash handling procedures, reconcile cash with accounting records, and report discrepancies.
• Prepare daily and monthly operational reports for the Branch Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in the micro‑finance or banking sector.
• In‑depth understanding of banking processes and financial security principles.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Commitment to confidentiality, compliance with cooperative codes of conduct, and customer‑service focus.
