Branch Manager

About the role

The Branch Manager will lead a micro‑finance branch, driving growth in client numbers, deposits and loan portfolios while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. This position reports to senior management and works closely with local communities to promote financial inclusion for vulnerable families.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve branch growth and profitability targets for net clients, deposits and loan portfolio.
• Plan and supervise marketing, promotional activities and community outreach campaigns.
• Monitor loan delinquency and manage the branch loan portfolio to minimise risk.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports on time, including OVC and AP reporting.
• Verify branch transactions (petty cash, mobile banking, loan disbursements, insurance operations) and correct errors promptly.
• Maintain compliance with insurance limits, audit standards and internal policies.
• Control branch expenses, manage the budget and avoid overspending.
• Implement audit recommendations and maintain a low‑risk rating.
• Lead business development initiatives such as radio appearances and community programs.
• Perform any other duties assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, accounting, business administration or related field.
• At least four years of experience in micro‑finance or banking branch operations.
• Understanding of savings groups functionality is an advantage.
• Strong initiative, perseverance and ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Commitment to the organization’s Christian values and ability to lead daily devotions.
• High sense of integrity and willingness to comply with core values and policies.
