Azure Cloud Infrastructure & Device Management Consultant

About the role

This consultancy focuses on modernising and securing the Azure and Microsoft 365 environment for a client organisation. The consultant will audit the current setup, design a robust architecture, and implement device management and security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of Azure subscriptions, M365 tenant, and Defender for Cloud configuration.
• Design a target architecture covering Azure AD (Entra ID), Intune, security baselines and network segmentation.
• Implement MFA, Privileged Identity Management, Self‑Service Password Reset and Conditional Access policies.
• Deploy and configure Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, device compliance and app protection policies.
• Harden security using Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Defender for Endpoint, and set up Azure Policy and RBAC governance.
• Provide training, documentation and a roadmap for ongoing maintenance.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud projects.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, security best practices and device management.
• Ability to work independently, communicate findings and guide internal IT staff.
