Associate Field Manager – Rwanda

About the role

GiveDirectly is seeking an Associate Field Manager (AFM) to support its Rwanda operations. The AFM will act as the primary on‑the‑ground liaison for the Field Manager, ensuring high‑quality delivery of cash transfer programs to beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work planning and team management for Field Officers.
• Track productivity and service quality, reviewing operational reports and addressing performance gaps.
• Identify and communicate risks such as village challenges, political instability, or terrain issues to senior management.
• Provide regular performance updates and synthesize field successes and challenges.
• Support the Field Manager and Program Manager in preparing analytical reports.
• Stand in for other AFMs as needed and build capacity to reduce reliance on senior leadership.

• Demonstrated experience in personnel management and team coaching.
• Ability to anticipate risks and develop mitigation plans.
