Assistant Manager Risk & Compliance

About the role

The Assistant Manager Risk & Compliance will support the implementation of financial and non‑financial risk frameworks, ensuring that risk identification, assessment, mitigation and compliance are embedded across the firm. Working closely with the CEO and Board Risk Committee, the role helps safeguard the organization’s operations and regulatory standing.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor and mitigate operational and financial risks.
• Coordinate and improve risk management processes within all departments.
• Review internal and external audit reports to extract risk and control information for reporting and remediation.
• Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and act on adverse trends.
• Oversee resolution of internal audit recommendations and ensure follow‑through on management actions.
• Assess compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, including AML and KYC.
• Coordinate the annual Risk & Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) and scenario testing.
• Maintain operational loss data, conduct root‑cause analysis of incidents, and update risk incident registers.
• Implement and test Business Continuity Management (BCM) frameworks, including BCP exercises.
• Prepare reports and secretarial support for the Management Risk Committee.

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements, especially AML and KYC.
• Ability to analyse audit reports and translate findings into actionable risk controls.
• Experience coordinating RCSA processes and managing KRIs.
• Familiarity with business continuity planning and testing.
