Transportation Coordinator for Rwanda Operations

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a dedicated Transportation Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone of its Rwanda country program. You will ensure that trucks, motorbikes, and cars are safe, available, and cost‑effective so field teams can receive their orders without delay.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a reliable network of transport providers across Rwanda.
• Onboard, contract, verify compliance, and monitor performance of transport partners.
• Coordinate transportation assignments, loading activities, and delivery documentation.
• Plan and schedule transport operations to achieve timely, cost‑effective service.
• Optimize fleet utilization, leasing arrangements, and fuel allocation.
• Monitor daily transportation activities and resolve operational challenges.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards tracking utilization, delivery performance, costs, and fuel consumption.
• Analyze data to identify trends, cost‑saving opportunities, and process improvements.
• Maintain knowledge of road conditions, site accessibility, and develop route‑optimization strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics or transportation coordination.
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze operational data and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
