Senior Special Airport Systems Engineer/Manager

About the role

Mace is seeking a Senior Special Airport Systems Engineer/Manager to lead the delivery of a landmark aviation project in Rwanda. The role combines technical system expertise with strong stakeholder management to ensure the successful implementation of MaceWay Management Systems and support the project’s net‑zero carbon objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Engage, develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, influencing senior stakeholders to secure alignment and outcomes.
• Manage project deliverables and oversee the effective implementation and governance of MaceWay Management Systems.
• Lead culture‑embedment strategies to drive consistent engagement, adoption, and effective use of management systems.
• Deliver system training sessions, webinars and knowledge‑sharing initiatives to build capability.
• Create, maintain and update system guidance documentation, user materials and instructional videos.
• Manage system change, enhancements and continuous‑improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing key business improvements.
• Provide leadership to a team of managers and professionals, ensuring clear structures, performance management, coaching and technical development.
• Support net‑zero carbon transition objectives by proactively identifying, managing and reducing carbon emissions across work delivery.

Required profile

• Professional qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering or construction discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely, with a strong focus on client outcomes and integrity.
