Mechanical Engineer – Design & Project Management

About the role

We are looking for a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our on-site team in Kigali. The role involves designing mechanical systems and managing projects from planning through to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Design plumbing, drainage, mechanical ventilation and HVAC systems for residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and technical drawings using Autodesk Revit.
• Supervise site activities, conduct testing and commissioning, and ensure successful project handover.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in design of plumbing, drainage, ventilation and HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of CAD tools, especially Autodesk Revit.
• Experience in project management, including planning, supervision and budget control.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Previous experience in construction or engineering consultancy is an advantage.
