Direct Sales Agent

About the role

The client is expanding its Business Banking and Branch Network in Rwanda and seeks motivated, energetic Direct Sales Agents. You will acquire new customers, grow relationships and promote a range of banking and digital financial solutions across assigned territories. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers through field sales, referrals, community outreach and other activities.
• Promote and sell banking products such as savings and current accounts, loans, credit cards and digital banking services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable banking solutions.
• Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to conversion, including regular follow‑ups.
• Encourage the use of mobile, internet and agency banking services.
• Support customer onboarding and ensure accurate documentation.
• Respond to enquiries and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback within the territory.
• Achieve monthly sales and customer acquisition targets and prepare accurate sales reports.
• Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, BNR regulations and internal policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or related field; recent graduates are encouraged.
• Previous experience in sales, banking, micro‑finance, insurance or a target‑driven environment is an advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with a results‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently in the field, travel extensively and hold a valid motorcycle or driving licence (advantage).
• Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English; French is a plus.
