Mechanical Technician – Facility Maintenance

About the role

The Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) is seeking a Mechanical Technician to ensure the reliable operation of its facilities and mechanical systems. You will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a range of equipment to keep the workplace safe and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, air conditioners, ventilation units, exhaust fans, water heaters, heat pumps, and automated gates/doors.
• Diagnose faults, perform corrective and preventive maintenance, and document all activities.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to guide installations and repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to support overall facility reliability.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Domestic Mechanics, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical or HVAC maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Team‑oriented, reliable, and adaptable.
