Consultant – Training Tools Development for RISE Inclusion SOP

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a consultant to design and develop practical, user‑friendly training tools that will help implementers understand and apply the RISE Inclusion Standard Operating Procedures (SoP). The assignment is hybrid, combining remote work, office‑based activities in Kigali and travel as needed, and will run for approximately 3.5 months.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the RISE Inclusion SoP into accessible training content tailored for different user groups.
• Develop a comprehensive package of tools, manuals, and facilitation guides.
• Integrate key concepts such as gender equality, disability inclusion, refugee inclusion and youth participation.
• Strengthen the capacity of implementers to operationalise inclusion standards across the learner journey.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure materials meet local context and safeguarding requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Development Studies, Gender Studies, Education or a related field.
• 7–10 years of professional experience in training design, curriculum development, facilitation or capacity strengthening.
• Demonstrated experience in gender‑transformative and inclusion programming.
• Strong knowledge of disability inclusion, accessibility, safeguarding and PSEA frameworks.
• Experience working in Rwanda or similar contexts is an asset.
