Commercial Operations Lead

About the role

The Commercial Operations Lead will drive commercial growth and elevate the customer experience at Shokola, a premier café and restaurant in Kigali. This full‑time, on‑site position combines leadership of daily operations with brand building and digital engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day café operations, ensuring high service standards and efficient workflow.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase foot traffic, sales, and brand visibility.
• Manage and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Oversee social‑media and digital‑marketing campaigns across Instagram, TikTok and other platforms.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement experience‑driven improvements.
• Coordinate events and promotional activities that reinforce Shokola’s lifestyle positioning.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in hospitality, café, restaurant or related lifestyle brands.
• Strong commercial mindset with a track record of driving sales and growth.
• Passion for creating memorable customer experiences and community engagement.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Instagram and TikTok for brand promotion.
• Knowledge of digital‑marketing tactics and social‑media campaign management.
