Accounting Coordinator (Fixed-Term)

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking an Accounting Coordinator on a fixed‑term basis to support its finance operations in Kigali, Rwanda. The role focuses on coordinating financial processes, ensuring accurate transaction recording, and assisting with audit preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Classify financial transactions and upload monthly payroll journal vouchers.
• Enter month‑end adjusting journal entries and post non‑farmer accounts‑receivable invoices.
• Manage monthly pre‑payment expense amortisation and align BVA transactions with country finance advisors.
• Perform general‑ledger reconciliations, including weekly mobile‑money and bank‑account reconciliations.
• Reconcile payroll bank accounts, accounts‑payable, prepaid balances, and basic P&L items such as rentals and other revenues.
• Prepare financial reports and support internal and external audits by providing complete documentation.

Required profile

• Bookkeeping knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Organisational, problem‑solving and team‑building skills.

Required skills

• Data analysis using Google Sheets.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software such as SAP.
