Teaching Assistant Intern – Humanities & Social Sciences

About the role

The University of Global Health Equity is seeking a Teaching Assistant Intern to support its Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum from June 1 to November 30, 2026. The intern will work closely with the Head of Humanities and Social Sciences, course directors, and visiting faculty, providing in‑class assistance, grading, and online content management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Humanities and Social Sciences, course directors, and visiting faculty with teaching activities.
• Grade student assessments, essays, reports, tests, and exams.
• Draft, edit, and upload teaching and learning materials on the Canvas Learning Management System.
• Respond promptly to student and administrative requests throughout the term.
• Provide student support through office hours and other modalities.

Required profile

• Master’s level training focused on health psychology, health sciences, or global health.
• Experience teaching, mentoring, or coaching health‑science‑oriented students using active‑learning approaches.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies for learners from diverse backgrounds.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Canvas Learning Management System.
