Legal and Investigations Intern

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented legal professional or recent LL.B graduate to gain hands‑on experience in legal research, investigations, evidence review, and professional drafting within a fast‑paced operational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support case assessment by reviewing new and ongoing cases, identifying allegations, and breaking down complex matters into clear investigative issues.
• Analyze and organize case documents, records, and correspondence into structured formats, highlighting inconsistencies or missing information.
• Prepare investigative materials such as interview questions, case summaries, and briefing notes.
• Document interviews and key findings to maintain an objective factual record for each case.
• Assist with day‑to‑day investigative and administrative tasks.
• Conduct targeted legal research on matters relevant to assigned cases.
• Synthesize and summarize applicable legal principles in clear, well‑structured briefs.
• Link established facts to relevant legal provisions to support case analysis.

Required profile

• Recent LL.B graduate or early‑career legal professional.
• Highly motivated and detail‑oriented.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
