HR Consultant – Human Resources Consultancy Services

About the role

WUSC Rwanda seeks an experienced HR consultant to provide advisory services that ensure full compliance with Rwandan labour laws, support the transition of staff from consultancy to employment contracts, and manage expatriate staff requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive HR audit of all existing contracts, including consultants, expatriates, volunteers, and interns.
• Assess compliance with Rwanda employment laws, RSSB social security contributions, PAYE tax obligations, and relevant regulatory bodies.
• Prepare an audit report highlighting risks, compliance gaps, and actionable recommendations.
• Develop a detailed transition plan for moving staff from consultancy to permanent employment, including timelines.
• Provide guidance on salary structuring, benefits, notice periods, and termination clauses.
• Draft compliant employment contract templates and update the employee handbook.
• Offer additional HR advisory support as mutually agreed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR consulting, preferably within the Rwandan context.
• Deep knowledge of Rwandan labour legislation, social security, and tax regulations.
• Experience handling expatriate staff and related legal requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to identify compliance gaps and propose solutions.
