Career Guidance Expert

About the role

Chancen International, in partnership with Rwanda's Higher Education Council (HEC), is seeking a Career Guidance Expert to lead a comprehensive needs assessment of career guidance services across all higher learning institutions (HLIs) in Rwanda. The assessment will inform the development of a five‑year National Career Guidance Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough needs assessment of career guidance services in Rwandan HLIs.
• Benchmark Rwanda’s career guidance practices against international standards.
• Collect and analyse data from tracer studies, employer feedback, and institutional sources.
• Prepare evidence‑based recommendations for a national strategy aligned with Rwanda’s Vision 2050 and the National Strategy for Transformation.
• Collaborate closely with HEC, Chancen International, and relevant stakeholders throughout the assessment process.

Required profile

• Professional expertise in career guidance, higher education, or related fields.
• Familiarity with the Rwandan higher education context and labour market dynamics.
• Ability to design and execute data‑driven assessments.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
