Banquet Supervisor

About the role

The Banquet Supervisor ensures seamless banquet operations, leading a team to deliver exceptional service for guests at our Kigali location. You will oversee opening and closing duties, maintain standards of cleanliness and safety, and act as the primary point of contact for both staff and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise banquet staff, ensuring teamwork, proper grooming, and professional attire.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including setup of supplies, equipment cleaning, and securing the venue.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO compliance, and cleanliness.
• Conduct inventories, stock requisitions, and manage work orders for maintenance.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest wellbeing.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and employee coaching.
• Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and report incidents promptly.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, and ensure a courteous, inclusive experience.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FIFO inventory practices.
• Familiarity with opening/closing procedures for banquet operations.
• Basic safety and security protocol awareness.
