Team Leader – Banquet & Event Operations

About the role

The Team Leader will oversee banquet and event operations at Radisson Hotel Group in Kigali, ensuring profitability, guest satisfaction and smooth execution of all functions. Reporting to the Banquet Manager, you will coach staff, manage resources and act as the primary client contact on event days.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor venue performance against budget, manage revenue goals and control expenses.
• Supervise waiters, bartenders, busboys and other service staff, assigning duties and conducting pre‑ and post‑event briefings.
• Coordinate with Event Planning, Chef and other departments to deliver flawless events, maintain inventory and ensure equipment is in good order.
• Handle guest feedback, resolve complaints and drive continuous improvement in service standards.
• Maintain sanitation, cleanliness and compliance with HACCP and food safety procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar banquet or conference centre role.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management.
• Strong knowledge of hotel food‑and‑beverage operations and event execution.
• Ability to work within local culture and uphold company policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
