Country Manager – Quick Service Restaurant (QSR)

About the role

Hungry Lion is seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead its quick‑service restaurant business in Rwanda. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, brand consistency and sustainable profitability across all outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain brand standards and champion exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Identify high‑potential sites, manage regulatory approvals and support new store development.
• Collaborate with head‑office marketing to adapt campaigns to local tastes and culture.
• Manage P&L, track financial performance, margins and unit economics.
• Lead talent development, training, succession planning and ensure compliance with labour laws.
• Supervise supplier relationships, procurement contracts and logistics.
• Mitigate operational, financial, legal and reputational risks and handle crisis situations.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of food and beverage management experience, preferably in QSR or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of Rwandan legislation, culture and regulatory environment.
• Proven track record in profit‑and‑loss responsibility and market expansion.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
