Site Civil Engineer – New Kigali International Airport

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Site Engineer to join the New Kigali International Airport project. The role involves overseeing daily civil construction activities on‑site, ensuring work meets design, quality and schedule requirements while supporting a multicultural, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities on the airport site.
• Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.
• Monitor subcontractors, labour, equipment and construction materials.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical or operational issues.
• Prepare daily progress reports, site records and quantity updates.
• Coordinate with the Project Engineer, General Foreman, QA/QC, HSE and other project teams.
• Guarantee compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Support resolution of technical issues and report construction risks or delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in civil construction, infrastructure, airport, road, building or large‑scale projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods and site operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast‑paced project environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Kinyarwanda is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (advantage).
