Senior MEP Manager

About the role

Mace is seeking a Senior MEP Manager to lead the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) team on a landmark aviation project in Rwanda. You will be accountable for delivering high‑quality MEP services from design through commissioning while upholding Mace’s safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project MEP team, ensuring professional conduct and compliance with Mace standards.
• Accountable for programme management, health, safety, wellbeing, quality assurance, commissioning and project completion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, trade contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Lead tendering activities, providing technical and commercial input and securing appropriate resources.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies for specialist packages within budget and contractual limits.
• Oversee MEP design management, coordination and constructability, ensuring compliance with RIBA, BSRIA, embodied carbon and operational energy requirements.
• Implement project delivery, commissioning and productivity strategies, managing risk, critical path issues and continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership, performance management, coaching and technical development while supporting net‑zero carbon initiatives.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent).
• Extensive experience managing MEP services on large‑scale construction projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects safely and on time.
