Risk Analyst

About the role

The Risk Analyst will help protect our platform by identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks. You will work with large data sets to uncover abuse patterns and design controls that keep fraud low while preserving a smooth user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform data to detect emerging threats such as payment fraud, account takeovers, spam, phishing, and synthetic identity networks.
• Query large datasets using SQL, Python, or similar tools to quantify the scale and impact of abusive behavior.
• Design and implement rules, models, and workflows that detect and prevent high‑risk activity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Legal teams to embed risk controls throughout the product lifecycle.
• Act as a primary responder during large‑scale fraud spikes or other active risk events.
• Build dashboards and reports to track key risk indicators and communicate findings to leadership.
• Provide feedback on internal risk tools and help improve detection automation.
• Evaluate and integrate third‑party risk intelligence vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud intelligence, trust & safety analytics, or financial crime investigations within tech, e‑commerce, or fintech.
• Strong ability to translate raw data into actionable insights and present findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with global compliance frameworks such as AML, KYC, GDPR, or PSD2.
• Proactive curiosity and capacity to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
