Part‑time Dog Groomer (Hybrid)

About the role

Pet Guardian is seeking a part‑time Dog Groomer to work in a hybrid setting based in Kigali. The role combines on‑site grooming duties with remote tasks such as scheduling and client communication, ensuring a smooth and stress‑free experience for pets and their guardians.

Key responsibilities

• Bath, brush, clip, and trim nails to keep dogs clean, comfortable and well‑presented.
• Handle pets safely and gently, monitoring their behavior and well‑being throughout the grooming process.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and keep grooming equipment in good condition.
• Interact with pet guardians, discuss grooming needs, provide updates and deliver courteous customer service.
• Assist with basic pet care duties at the facility and support the team with grooming‑related tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to perform pet grooming and clipping with attention to safety, comfort and quality.
• Experience handling dogs of different sizes, temperaments and coat types.
• Strong customer service and clear communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Knowledge of basic animal health and behavior signs to identify stress or discomfort.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weight and perform repetitive grooming tasks.
• Organizational skills to manage appointments, maintain equipment and keep accurate records.
