Part‑time Dog Groomer (Hybrid)

About the role

Pet Guardian is seeking a part‑time Dog Groomer to join our Kigali team. The position is hybrid, allowing you to perform grooming duties on‑site while handling scheduling and client communication remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Bath, brush, clip, and trim dogs of various breeds, sizes and coat types.
• Trim nails and ensure each pet leaves clean, comfortable and well‑presented.
• Handle animals gently, monitor their behavior and wellbeing throughout the grooming process.
• Maintain a tidy, organized grooming workspace and keep equipment in good condition.
• Interact with pet guardians, discuss grooming needs, provide updates and deliver courteous customer service.
• Assist with basic pet‑care duties at the facility and support teammates with related tasks as required.

Required profile

• Proven ability to perform pet grooming and clipping with safety and quality.
• Experience handling dogs of different temperaments, sizes and coat types.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and clear, respectful communication.
• Basic knowledge of animal health signs to identify stress or discomfort.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift moderate weight and repeat grooming motions.
• Organizational skills for managing appointments, records and equipment.
• Prior dog‑groomer experience or relevant certification is preferred.
• Commitment to humane, non‑discriminatory treatment of all pets.
