Partnerships Officer – Fixed Term

About the role

The Partnerships Officer supports WFP Rwanda’s strategic positioning by engaging with government, donors, UN agencies, NGOs and the private sector. Based in Kigali, the role works closely with programme, supply‑chain and technical units to present evidence‑based value propositions that align with the Country Strategic Plan and national priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of WFP Rwanda’s Partnerships and Resourcing Strategy, focusing on priority donors and emerging partners.
• Develop partner‑specific engagement strategies aligned with Rwanda’s policy agenda such as social protection, resilience and food systems.
• Translate programme activities into clear, compelling value propositions for different audiences.
• Identify, track and cultivate funding opportunities across bilateral, multilateral and IFI partners.
• Prepare high‑quality proposals, concept notes and donor reports in line with corporate standards.
• Maintain accurate partner intelligence and pipeline tracking using corporate systems (e.g., Salesforce, WINGS, WFPGo).

Required profile

• Strong coordination skills with programme, supply‑chain and technical units.
• Experience in partnership development, donor engagement and resource mobilisation.
• Ability to produce clear, evidence‑based value propositions and high‑quality written proposals.
