Medical Sales Representative

About the role

The Medical Sales Representative will drive sales growth of closure technology and biosurgery products across the assigned territory. You will build strong relationships with surgeons, nurses, theatre staff and procurement teams while delivering product presentations and clinical training.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell closure technology and biosurgery products to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers including surgeons, nurses and procurement personnel.
• Conduct product presentations, clinical demonstrations and in‑service training sessions.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market penetration.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and business objectives.
• Support product evaluations and clinical trials in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs, providing feedback to management.
• Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports and territory business plans.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and ethical standards.
• Participate in conferences, workshops and professional events to promote company products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, nursing, biomedical sciences, clinical medicine or a related field, or a Diploma in Nursing.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical device or healthcare sales.
• Registered Nurse qualification.
• Experience working in an operating theatre environment.
• Proven track record selling surgical sutures, wound‑closure or other surgical devices.
• Experience interacting with surgeons, theatre nurses and hospital procurement teams.
